Condé Nast Johansens awarded Venissa Wine Resort as Best Hotel for Sustainability in Europe. We’re really proud our effort for the local community has been awarded, since the beginning Venissa opened up his doors to let the people walk inside the estate, we restarted the production of the wine with local grape variety, we gave 3000sqm to elder local people for community garden, we started project with Slow Food and local schools, we have a local food and no wast policy and we do believe that slow-turism can bring a brighter future to our islands
Venissa has been awarded ‘’The Best Hotel for Sustainability in Europe’’ from Condé Nast Johansens thanks its dedication to the local community and development of a slow, sustainable tourism for the islands of the lagoon. From the beginning Venissa opened the gates of the property and made the park and the vineyard available for the community as well as It made 3000 sqm of land available for the elderly of the island to create multiple vegetable gardens. Furthermore, Venissa recovered an ancient local grape variety and an almost lost tradition in Venice as winemaking. Above all Venissa believes in a slow and responsible tourism that might create a future for the islands preserving the traditional activities.
The new vintage Venissa White 2015 is now available, 2015 is a vintage characterized by an outstanding balance and elegance, integrated with the salinity which distinguishes this macerated white.

The Venissa Chef Chiara Pavan has been awarded ‘’Best Female Chef in Italy’’ by the Espresso Guide 2019, this award comes in addition of the International Chef of the Year awarded by Elle Gourmet.
