OPEN ALL YEAR
Venissa has been awarded ‘’The Best Hotel for Sustainability in Europe’’ from Condé Nast Johansens thanks its dedication to the local community and development of a slow, sustainable tourism for the islands of the lagoon. From the beginning Venissa opened the gates of the property and made the park and the vineyard available for the community as well as It made 3000 sqm of land available for the elderly of the island to create multiple vegetable gardens. Furthermore, Venissa recovered an ancient local grape variety and an almost lost tradition in Venice as winemaking. Above all Venissa believes in a slow and responsible tourism that might create a future for the islands preserving the traditional activities.
The new vintage Venissa Bianco 2016 is now available. 2016 was an extraordinary vintage, where the perfect symbiosis between the native grape variety of the lagoon – the Dorona – and its terroir of origin became evident and produced a wine of great balance and refinement.
